Unless I’m writing this in my sleep, I’m not dreaming and it’s real:  the Jeff and Jer Show is back and that includes me and Tommy and Randy, too!    Our new home: KyXy 96.5fm!!!   Our very first day is Monday, yeah this coming Monday!!!!  I have so much to do…nails, hair, spray tan, new outfit, shoes.  Wait, no.  That’s not what I need to worry about because I’m in radio.  duh.   I don’t have anything to worry about except how the new equipment works and how MY equipment works.  I’m sure that cold that’s going around wouldn’t dare touch me! Nope!  Monday is too important.

Yesterday, Tommy and I peeked our heads into our new studio and a the butterflies swarmed my stomach immediately when I saw where I’m going to sit.  My new microphone is blue!  Ah!  Will I still know how to do this?  Is it like riding a bike?

All I can say is that our new home at KyXy already feels “right.”  It’s a huge station in town.  It’s a station with a long successful history.  Hopefully, we’ll continue that streak…and then some.

I’m sorry if I’m rambling like a 12 year old, but I’m just so freakin’ excited.  I’m very nervous.  I have no idea what the first words out of my mouth will be.  Hopefully, they won’t be embarrassing or stupid.

I’m writing this as my kids are waking up.  I have to get them up and ready, lunches made and out the door before the big announcement so we can hear it on the way to school at 7:30!!!

Last night, when I told Charlie everything that was happening, he said “Momma, you know all those time I threw pennies into fountains and you always asked me what I wished for?”

“Yeah, I remember.”

“This is what I’ve been wishing for:  a new radio job for you.”

Is this kid straight from heaven, or what?

K, gotta go so I can hear the big announcement.  Can’t wait til Monday.

Thank you for believing in us and WANTING us back in the first place.  It feels great.  I know we’ll make you proud…and hopefully laugh!!!!
