Hi ya Kids,

I’ve been traveling on animal business this week. I was in Washington DC for 3 days visiting the headquarters
of The Humane Society of the United States and my great friend and mentor, its president and CEO, Wayne Pacelle.

HSUS was the primary force behind Prop 2’s passage last year. Here’s a little pix of me and Wayne at our house last October. Pam and I hosted a fundraiser at our home.

I have very few heroes in my life. Pam is one, certainly. Wayne Pacelle is another. Since he’s taken over HSUS, he has and will continue to literally change the course of history for animal protection. Truly. HSUS is the largest, most powerful and effective animal protection organization in the world. If you’re not a member, please join It’s cheap. The amount of help the animals need is staggering and relentless. The opposition seems daunting. And I have never been happier or more fulfilled in my life.
